Please note: up to the age of 20, enrolment in the student social security scheme is free of charge. After that, it becomes a paying service.

NB: An unpaid internship is one for which the student receives no more than 15% of the hourly social security ceiling.
Internships may not be set up to temporarily replace an employee, for seasonal employment, for additional activity or to fill a permanent position.
In addition, the internship agreement – signed between the school or university, the company and the intern – must include 11 items. These include the definition of the activities entrusted to the intern, the maximum weekly period of presence of the intern in the company, the amount of the bonus, the list of benefits offered, the social protection scheme, the conditions under which the internship supervisors provide supervision, and the terms and conditions for terminating the internship.
Gratification is compulsory for internships lasting more than 2 months (i.e. 15% of the hourly social security ceiling, i.e. €554 per month for 35 hours per week).
Only the portion exceeding this limit is subject to employee and employer contributions. It should also be noted that this gratuity is due to the trainee without prejudice to the reimbursement of expenses incurred in carrying out the internship and to any benefits offered, where applicable, for catering, accommodation and transport, and that it is due from the first day of the first month of the internship and paid monthly.
